We are passionate about East Asian Cultures and this site is dedicated to the discovery of those cultures. The founders of this site were born in East Asia, grew up in the United States, and have studied abroad in China and spent time in various parts of East Asia over the years. We have seen the unprecented ascent of China in just the past 15 years. For example when we saw the entire eastern skyline of Shanghai sprout up in a span of 9 years! We feel strongly that East Asia has many wonderful people, places and things to see and that is why started this site. The main focus of our site is for enthusiasts and curious people such as yourself to learn East Asian Culture, particularly its languages.

The main holding force of a culture is its language and we have a great many tools for you to learn these wonderful languages. As East Asian countries rise in economic and political strength, especially China, it is a huge advantage for you to learn languages such as Mandarin and Cantonese. Don't forget Japan and the Japanese language as well. China and Japan are now the world's 2nd and 3rd largest economies and many economists predict China will overtake the United States in economic output by 2050.
